How your brief is built
Most feeds rank by what they infer you’ll engage with, and keep the ranking private. Your brief does the opposite: it ranks by what you declared and by dates, and the complete rule table is below — rendered from the same code that runs it, so it cannot quietly differ.
Every rule, with its weight
Each item’s score is the sum of the rules it matches. The highest-scoring dated item becomes the bottom line; ties go to the sooner date. An item whose date has passed scores zero. That is the entire mechanism — there is no other ranking, no engagement signal, and no per-user model.

What we never use
What you clicked, how long you read, what people “like you” follow, or anything inferred about you. Your priorities are the topics you switched on yourself — stored on your own device — and switching one off removes its influence immediately. A quiet week renders as a quiet week: no section is ever padded, and nothing is promoted to make the page look fuller than your governments’ week actually was.
