Who you are agreeing with
Rallybase is operated by Rallybase LLC, a Texas limited liability company (Secretary of State file number 806782308), and your agreement is with that company. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Rallybase LLC; “Rallybase” on its own means the website and the service the company operates. Where a sentence below is about the company rather than the site, it names the company.
Who can use Rallybase
You must be at least 13 years old to create a Rallybase account. If you are under 18, you confirm you have a parent or guardian's permission to use the service.
Nonpartisan platform, your content
Rallybase is a tool, not a publisher of the movements, positions, or content that verified organizations and users create through it. We take no political position and do not endorse any cause, campaign, or movement hosted on the platform.
Awareness campaigns
Rallybase hosts "Awareness Campaigns" — a platform feature that lets a creator draw public attention to any legal cause, including consumer-facing campaigns, and link to external resources of their choosing. Rallybase LLC itself does not organize, endorse, run, or participate in any boycott or consumer campaign; we provide hosting and discovery infrastructure only, under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, the same way we host any other user-generated movement content. The name of this feature describes what Rallybase does (host awareness content), not a claim about what any individual creator's campaign is or does.
Account tiers and verification
Some actions (signing petitions that count toward district totals, submitting public comments through the platform) require phone or district verification. Movements are not currently available on Rallybase; the movements page has been retired while we build its replacement. If we bring them back, creating one will be limited to organizations we have verified by hand, and supporting one will require a phone-verified account. We will update these terms before that happens.
Prohibited conduct
No hate speech, calls for violence, doxxing, fundraising fraud, illegal coordination, or sexual content involving minors. We moderate content we become aware of and may suspend or ban accounts that violate these terms.
Fair use of the service
Rallybase runs on shared infrastructure and some requests cost us money, so a few features carry caps. The AI assistant is limited to a few dozen questions an hour for a signed-in account, and a handful a day for anonymous visitors. Account creation, one-time codes, password resets and address verification are limited per address and per network. Paid physical letters are capped per day, with a lower cap for orders placed without an account, and a small weekly cap on letters to any single official — that last one exists so the mail service cannot be turned into a flooding tool aimed at one office.
Reaching a cap is not a penalty and does not mark your account; it resets on its own. What is not allowed is deliberately working around these limits: scripting the site, creating accounts in bulk, sharing credentials to multiply an allowance, or otherwise automating access. We may throttle, suspend or close accounts that do, and we may adjust the caps as costs and abuse patterns change. Caps never apply to reading civic information. Looking up who represents you, what they are voting on, and when the next public meeting is has no limit and never will.
Physical letters (paid)
You never have to pay us to contact an official. Every address, phone number and web form Rallybase holds is shown to you for free, and /letters lists the free routes — email, your own stamp, the official’s own web form — beside the paid one, because they work exactly as well. What follows is the terms of the optional paid convenience, not a description of the only way through.
Rallybase offers an optional paid feature to print and mail a letter you write to your own elected officials, in addition to the always-free option to send the same letter by email. You author the full content; Rallybase never writes or edits it. Letters are screened for abuse before mailing and may be held for manual review or rejected; this screens for abuse only, not for viewpoint. Recipients are limited to officials in Rallybase's own database — you cannot direct a paid letter to any other address, and the return address is your own. Paid letters are refundable any time before they are mailed: cancel from the letter in your civic record, or — if you ordered without an account — from the link in your confirmation email. Once a letter has been handed to our mail vendor for printing and mailing, it can no longer be refunded; if an order covered several letters and only some have gone to the printer, we refund the ones that have not. Refunds are returned to the card you paid with and usually appear within five to ten business days, which is your bank’s timing rather than ours. Rallybase does not guarantee delivery, a response, or any outcome from any letter, paid or free.
Sponsorships
Businesses and organizations may sponsor a single placement on Rallybase (a page section or one district panel) for a monthly or annual fee. Every sponsorship application is reviewed by a Rallybase founder before the sponsor's name, one-line description, and link are shown to any visitor — payment starts the application, it does not by itself put a sponsor live. We do not accept sponsorships from candidates, political parties, PACs, or any campaign or ballot-measure committee, and we do not accept sponsorships that take a position on any pending legislation, election, or political issue. Rallybase accepts no political advertising at any price, and that rule applies to sponsors exactly as it applies to ads. Only one sponsor is shown per placement at a time; sponsorships do not grant influence over Rallybase's civic content, data, or editorial choices, and Rallybase may reject or remove any sponsorship, refunding unused time, at its discretion. Nonprofit-rate and founding-rate pricing, where offered, is disclosed at the time of application, not negotiated case by case.
AI features, and what they will not do
Parts of Rallybase use AI: an optional assistant, an “Ask” answer above search results, and plain-language summaries of bills. Every one of them is labeled where it appears — you will never be shown a machine-written answer dressed as an editorial or official one — and each cites the record it drew from so you can check it against the source. They can be wrong. They can misread a bill, garble a date, or miss something that matters. Where an AI answer and the official source disagree, the official source is right and the link to it is there for that reason. Nothing on Rallybase requires you to use these features.
The assistant is instructed to refuse a specific list of things, and those refusals are the product rather than a disclaimer about it. It will not state an opinion. It will not recommend how to vote or what position to take on anything, and it will not characterize one political side against another. It will not tell you that you qualify or do not qualify for any benefit or program — it will tell you what the record says and that the agency administering the program is the one that decides. It will not give legal advice. If you ask it to do any of these, it is meant to decline, and we treat it declining as correct behavior rather than a failure.
No legal, financial, or eligibility advice
Nothing on Rallybase is legal, financial, or professional advice, and that includes every AI-generated summary and answer. Nothing here is a determination of your eligibility for any benefit, program, or service; only the agency that administers a program can determine that. Nothing here is a guarantee that a deadline, an address, an officeholder, or a meeting time is current — we publish where each figure came from and when we last checked it precisely so you can judge that for yourself. Verify anything you are about to rely on against the official source we link to.
