Why we built this

Most of us learn about a bill, a zoning vote, or a school board meeting after it's already decided — if we learn about it at all. The information was never hidden; it was just never accessible. A city council agenda buried three links deep on a .gov site, an 80-page bill in legal language, a vote nobody covered.
We built Rallybase because local politics is where individual impact is highest, and almost nobody knows it. A city council race can turn on 200 votes. A school board petition can carry weight with 500 signatures. The math of democracy favors anyone who shows up locally — it's just that showing up requires knowing what's happening and who to talk to.
Rallybase takes no political positions and never will. It's infrastructure, not advocacy — the base from which any rally begins, in any direction, for any cause a citizen chooses. We built it starting with the people most disenfranchised from the political process, because franchising everybody has to start somewhere.
The map is always changing, because democracy never stops. Neither do we.
Rallybase is nonpartisan infrastructure. We take no political positions, endorse no causes, and show every user the same data. The platform's only goal is that you know what's happening in your districts and can act on it — in whatever direction you choose. Community postings here come from verified organizations; letters and votes are always your own words and choices.
